Amanda Chadderton

Leader, Oldham Council

Councillor Amanda Chadderton is Leader of Oldham Council and Cabinet Member for Equalities, Inclusion and Cohesion.

Her priorities focus on three key areas: continuing Oldham’s drive to be a resident-focused council; ensuring plans for regeneration and housing continue at pace; and working for our children and young people by affording them the very best opportunities.

Prior to becoming Leader in 2022, Cllr Chadderton was the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member with responsibilities for neighbourhoods.

First elected to the Oldham Council in 2012, she is a councillor for the Royton South ward. Amanda says being elected to lead her hometown is “the greatest honour of my life.”
